I am very happy to be writing a review about a little ISP in my home country. Spain is a pretty "rare" location for hosting in Europe, isn't central, power is expensive and sadly, many (most?) providers offer a poor service not in line with European standards.
So I wasn't expecting much when signing up for a service with Giner. Anyway, the offer was interesting: one OVZ container hosted at the best datacenter in Spain, with a decent upstream for merely 18€/year, VAT included.
My VPS has a Spanish IPv4 plus a bunch of IPv6 on a separate /64 just for me, something to be thankful for since they do use SolusVM. I haven't needed much support, but ticket response time has been nice and non-urgent tickets had been replied to pretty fast on working hours. Uptime has been good and more than 99.9 % always, network always great and performance never suffered during this time. rDNS was automated and everything else has been working fine, so I haven't really needed human support.
Since this is a one man show, I will talk on the personal level too: Giner has always been there and I talk to him from time to time on Skype, he is a guy which genuinely cares about his customers, even if they are paying peanuts. He provides a nice service and he strives to make everyone happy. A pleasure to deal with.
GinerNet is providing a unique service in Spain. No one is selling virtualization which simply works, at extremely low prices and already surpassing some other way more expensive, heavily marketed providers in the country. A pleasure to have such a breath of fresh air in a market which looked like dead in Spain, with providers mainly marketing "Spanish IP addresses" as their main selling point for their poor Cogent or ONO singlehomed services.
Sorry if you wanted some benchmarks or dd porn here. The server is fine, it is always up and performs nicely at any time of the day. Giner rocks and I am officially a little fanboy. He earned it.
Oh, and sorry about my English too, it isn't my native language.
