HostHatch falls and very slowly servers

Hello

I'm about 24 hours offline with HostHatch, they said they had a problem in Los Angeles and said that the problem was solved was then that recorded a huge slow down and then making my site offline for more than 24 hours.

The support is very time consuming, I would have had more HostHatch commitment to its customers, I am facing this problem for many days, unfortunately I think I'll have to choose another ISP to allocate my site.

Does anyone have any fall with recent HostHatch?

Thank you.

I fell for the bait and opted for their 'cheap" discounted servers. The services were ok to begin with but now I just feel like throwing them away. I've had countless downtimes and the reason they come up with is that my servers are sending spam. They also claimed to put me in white list but the downtimes continued. You can get an idea from the attached screenshots.

My last ticket hasn't been answered since a week, a full goddamn week.

Lost VPS in CheapDomainNames

6 months ago I got a VPS from CheapDomainNames for 10$, it was a one year plan with 256mb of ram, nice plan for storing backups from my database.

Its been a week now that my server is simply gone, no traces from it and the support team wont answer me at all.

Dont think they gonna answer me or even solve my problem but, for 10bucks what can you do right ?

nanobit.pro - don't even try with them!

Hello.

I will try to explain as good as I can my long story with Nanobit... I have bought their VPS at 23/06/2015. One month later I decided to try their "Web Free Package". After one and half month I cancelled it. My entire story with them took me 8 long months... With 7 horribly problems! My first month with them was fine. Everything was working perfectly. I decided to stay with them and pay for the next month. And you know what? They removed my payment option... I was forced to use PayPal. I didn't have time to transfer my money from my banking account to PayPal. Everybody who use Paypal know that it might took even more than three days. I was forced to rapidly open a prepaid card, that I could connect to my PayPal account, because PayPal don't accept card from my bank (long stroy). Second surprise? They don't have automated payment system... After waiting 21 hours to register my payment I decided to open new ticket, since next day my service might be suspended. They manually marked my invoice as payed. Next month they decided to move my VPS from Germany to France... And you know what's the best part of it? They didn't informed me about this! Thay have migrated my server next day after my payment for next month... At 1:00 AM... They send me an e-mail at 2:15 AM, with apologies. They even f***ed migration... They assigned bad IP for me. I couldn't connect to my VPS even via SSH. Amazing, huh? The next problem was with their FTP configuration for my website... They broke their TLS... They told me to use "insecure protocol" and that they will fix it in max 2 days. Even one week after it wasn't properly configurated. Next they have changed a WHMCS page and removed SolusVM login info without any information. Via next ticket they told me that they are removing SoulusVM and I can use WHMCS as a my VPS panel. Someday I decided to reboot my server... It wasn't easy... My VPS was running on like 3% of CPU. It took 8 minutes to boot. I couldn't even use SSH correclty... One second per letter. There wan't only problem with slow CPU. I couldn't even run "apt-get update" without connection errors. I have recorded it, so if you are curious, PM me. I'll send you a proof.

The thing that finally pushed me away from them? They suspended my service even after making payment. Chronological story? Here you go: They have added a "Polish Bank transfer" option, that was handled by homepay.pl... And they again f**** up. They had problems with registering my payment. I suspect that they didn't even checked did I pay... They just suspended my service. After three days they unsuspended my service... But that wasn't end. I knew that my server was badly configurated and if it will be rebooted it won't boot. If they wouldn't suspend my service, I might have chance to fix my config. So far I'm fighting with them 20 days to send me my files. They don't replay to my tickets. They're playing with me in hide-and-seek... After second reminder "Guys, are you again kidding me?" they cynically answered me "We are not kidding anyone as for now".

Uh... I forgot. They f**** up another thing. They call it "fast track". It cost 5GBP per ticket and makes your ticket get the highest priority... The funny thing is that I could manually set it to "True" while making new ticket...

... and they f*** up another thing before posting this. Their website isn't accessable for more than half month. Ther MAIN website! Unbelievable!

If you want proof - PM me. I have pretty every ticket archived.

[BAD QUALITY] Servdiscount Review - Carefully

I was reseller at servdiscount for 4 months ago.

I want to share everyone about my experiences when i use them. Please consider and think carefully before using them.

Let start with my comparsion between online.net and servdiscount. 1 is France provider and another is Germany Provider.

  1. Quality : normal (3 / 5). hardware can not compare with online.net. Online.net 's hardware is perfect.
  2. Price : normal (3.5 /5 ). price is better than online, but i will not choose because, hardware is old and slow.
  3. Support : super fast and helpful (0 /5). one day, if you are busy man, and needing more helps from them. Amazing, you will get 2 time for their support, let i calculate, i think it is around 3-4 hours for you. But you dont worry, your issue will solve after 3 days maximum if you have some problem with your hardware or you will never get their help if you have some problem with software because they are unmanaged.
  4. Service : doesnt need customers, money is first & customers is the end and we are always right in every case. ( -5 / 5 ) (****)

Total : 1.5 / 20. Great score from me. Why? Am i unfair? I say NO.

Let i tell about their works.

Their interfaces, when i connected to them at Nov 2015, long time from now. At that time, their language in website is sparing..... Homepage, product details, shopping cart,.... Wow everything is in English. start cooperating now.

After a month, my customer feels their hardware is not good and tell me to change another provider. I cancelled those servers (didnt expire yet). They accpeted my request, unfortunately, oh my god, what the hell, i look at the the billing, they will be cancelled next month. I have to pay for unused services for a month? They made me crazy?

I asked them why i have to pay for unused services?
+They said, because i chose auto renew.

I, I dont see the word is called auto renew on your site.
+T, " Automatisch ".

I, I dont know what it means, it is your language, not mine. You translated your website to English and you must translate all to ENG, why you except that word ? Looks like a cheat in billing system.

.........

After few conversation, they accepted me to reconnect my servers.

This is the first time, i disappointed.

After 3 months, and i think this is the last month........, they made me crazy again.

In 9th Jan, 2016. I request cancellation for 3 servers in 2 email letters.

First email letter, I wrote to them to cancel servers have name : a205 & t243 Click image for larger version.

Second email letter, I wrote to them to cancel the server has name : l097 Click image for larger version.

They will be expired in 26th Feb, 2016. And i got the message from them "Your servers were blocked due to outstanding invoice." In my memory, only 2 unused invoices were solved in the old conversation. What the hell is going on?

I opened the ticket and asked them why?
+T, you have outstanding invoice has to pay.

I opened that invoice and see. Oh my god, t243 & l097 were cancelled and will end in 26th, a205 is still there. I was thinking, they can decline cancellation request to get more earning ????

I replied and asked them "why is a205 still there while t243 and l097 were cancelled and in termination?" They answer me quickly, i remember his name is Daniel Alves. I gave him reply and he sent to me his reponse, then and then til i cant control my self and ask him " your company pay for you to take care of customers or pay for you to be in the customer controversy? "

And then, he helped me to terminate that server. Very perfect. But the problem it is still there. I cant connect to my servers. And opened new ticket again. They said i should pay all invoices to get back my servers.

And i checked , the 3rd invoice is still there, prices are included a205 and t243 while t243 was terminated long time ago.

The last case started from 26th til now, there is nobody takes care of me.

Once again, if you want to order their server, please read my experiences before getting many cheats from them.
I am reseller, they dont respect me, so you must think carefully before using them.

Verelox review

$

So here i am going to make a review regarding the provider Verelox. My old provider Rockbelthost started off great, but quickly started getting small issueses like downtime and crashes. But the last full month it has been a nightmare of restarts, their own website going down etc. Right now rockbelthost's website is completely down for already quite some time and i was tired of all the drama so i decided to go for verelox. the fun thing is, that i already had verelox in mind when i wanted to go to rockbelthost and it was a close call for me.

First impressions

First off, i would like to mention something bad. Their sales email address seems to be fully ignored. i try emailing them there but NEVER get a reply when i asked them about a custom plan.

Anyhow, i begon my adventure with verelox after checking out other VPS's on the market.(even though the 2 emails were ignored). They had a live chat i noticed later so i went to check if there was a person at home.... (if not i would seek something else for sure, already had slight alarm bells tingling) My first impression were a quick and helpful live chat, a clean & simple but informative website and thats when i decided to order a package. First i needed to dump some money into the verelox account (you prepay the servers, they charge you per hour). after that i could select the server to spin it up! BUT.......i couldnt spin it up! Apparantly they were out of stock for both france and dutch servers. all packages! wuuuuut? i was kind of badly surprised seeing i just paid 12 euro into my account to get a VPS. but support handled it quickly and got me some new stock for getting a VPS on the same day, with the exact package i wanted! yay! So my VPS was finally started and i got some managed support with it.

And so our adventure begins

The managed support takes care of migration upgrades and issueses and they are fast and friendly in their replies....and did i mention they only ask 0,01 euro per hour for managed support? thats 7,20 euro per month for managed support. yes. 7 euro!!! Anyhow i love that since i do not have alot of knowledge about linux and VPN's. They were quick in migration but not everything came through. some things were not installed yet and settings were not saved to i had to copy them over. And that's were this review has to end for the moment unfortunatly! Right now we are in the process of making my websites work again, as right now they are giving me a test page even though it should work.

So here is the Con and Pro list!

Cons:

  • Their sales email address seems to be abandoned.
  • Be sure to ask for stock before you pay money into your account.

Pros's:

  • 7,20 euro for managed support per month.
  • Fast and friendly live chat and ticket responses.
  • Very good prices for vps's with 1gbps connection and ovh's anti-ddos pro solution.
  • They are looking like professionals and seem to be professionals. (instead of all these one-man businesses who look cheap and all kind of the same)
  • Incoming bandwidth is free.

To be continued in reply's below!

I recently rented server from PACIFICIDC and paid it since March 4, the guy name "dearroy" told me to send a PM on him so we made a deal for the server specs from this post https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/77432/looking-for-dedicated-server-location-la-california-budget-45-60usd#latest

I got the server after 1 hr problem is the drive is ssd 120gig, i told them to replace it with 1tb, I also told them to mount the .iso then this guy dearroy downloaded the .iso from my website then after that their response delay and till now I'm still unable to access the server. I tried booting up the server in their panel nothing happen, when I access kvm all I got in kvm console is "no signal" even i try to escape from console nothing happen.

I also contacted dearroy on his skype but no reply at all. I've sent another response on ticket that if I don't get access on the next 12hrs on server I told them to refund my payment.

Combozo / stackvps / x3host Review: possible scam

Actually, this article should be a complain instead. But I will write as much as i know when doing transaction with them.

I have wrote this to notify someone who want to get big RAM server with small price (here is Combozo with their plan 8GB Ram with 48$/yr).

  • Homepate: very slowly (from Vietnam)
  • VPS control (SolusVM): they will take you to not secure web page (http://148.163.92.66:5353/). Easy for losing password
  • My case: Has a bad experience with combozo 8GB Ram (48$/yr).

I did try to use mysql to load mysq dump from other vps (mysqldump) but the disk performance is very bad. I do not want to argue then request them to cancel my service (in 12 hours after payment). However, they have reply that I had consumed the node and then delete my service. You can not even find a period or comma in their reply. Please take a look at my ticket thread with them

Look like a scam. I have lost my 48$.

Stay away from them.

Sorry for my bad English and bad mood.

I ordered a VPS on 8 March at 12:33 (GMT + 1)

The system put in my order in fraud.

At 12:37 (GMT + 1), I opened a ticket

At 2:13 p.m. (GMT + 1), the carrier wonder copies of documents.

I understand my problem, just my IP address .

I make a new command to 4:19 p.m., from another location

At 9:26 p.m. (GMT + 1), I receive this message:

Hello,

your last order was set to pending. You are now able to pay the invoice to activate your service.

Sincerely, Steven Funke Head of Service Desk

Skype: ih-steven

At 11:47 p.m. (GMT + 1), I pay the bill with PayPal.

It's been almost 24 hours, and my VPS is not enabled.

I wrote several messages to the support.

No answer.

Okay, I have watched enough Delimiter drama...

Looks like they have better CPU and network than Dacentec, but hiding some details on their company.. at lease I can't find a looking glass on their website

Before I decide to give them a try, can anyone show me the disk IO speed on 2x 500GB RAID0?

And a testing IP please?

Problems with billing Cloud.net

$
0

Hello

I wonder what you think of the billing system Cloud.net The company constantly changes its billing form without telling their customers in advance.

Before the payment was made with normal bill (the amount paid would like credit and discounted per hour), with that the customer would have the credit after payment, and the value would discounting over the course of hours (as digitalocean does), then the company changed its billing system to only pre-credit, it made I had to pay the same bill almost twice (to have another additional amount on credit)

Now I see that they changed again before the minimum payment was customizable or $ 5 and now see they changed the minimum payment to $ 25, all this without telling your customers notice before.

I think they should warn customers about the changes in the billing system, so we do not surprise at the end of the month, I wonder how it should be for users who have automatic credit card (debit) in the company, I think the customer should have some problems with it.

What do you think?

I opened a support ticket asking about this new change, the company has good servers, fast, perfect uptime, but have these problems with the billing system and logistics.

Thank you.

HostMaze review (Day 1-2)

$

tl;dr HostMaze scores a 3+1/10 to me, 1 for each great support, unmetered, pricing, and a bonus-mark for DDoS Protection. Still have a gigantic room for improvements, networking and distros could done better. HDD instead of SSD is a deadly cons to me.

tl;dr (2) Suitable for static or small application, for me I host a Ghost blog, a few family albums, and some friends' static pages(HTML/PHP, MySQL+Redis equipped)

Note that they allow the followings:
IRC Servers, VPNs, Tunneling, Tor, Torrents, Newsletters and Adult content (except Child Pornography). All ports are unlocked.

I am hopping around on LET for new providers, and HostMaze popped up on my screen. I then bought their $6/mo plan, with 1GB RAM, 20GB HDD and unmetered (DDoS Protected, Voxility) bandwidth, where it locates in Romania.

Connecting to the server from Hong Kong is fairly good, a bit delayed but acceptable. However a BIG disappointment is distro choices and networking, and also no SSD.

First disappointment is OS flavours: I am a fan of ArchLinux so I do seek for KVM/XEN VPSes, to have Arch on it. Unfortunately HostMaze does only have a few distro to choose, mainly CentOS and Ubuntu. BUT, their support is nice enough to have ArchLinux installed for me, and configured (the second time, the first installation by them cannot activate the NIC) network for me.

Then another major disadvantage, that the IPv6 SUCKS. I tried netctl, systemd-networkd, or even NetworkManager, guess what? No cigar! I'm getting frustrated on setting up both DHCP(SLAAC) or static IP configuration, so if someone knows how to do so, please let me know. D:

Now finally the benchmark, I am quite surprise with the CPU frequency, but not the I/Os, as the disk turns out a bit slow to me, expecting at least 20-50MB/s, I think this might be caused by HDD not SSD. Capacity of diskspace is fine, so does the RAM. If I have to be strictly "picky", I would say disappointed due to the location is not Asia, tho it claims you can get "5-20ms from Hong Kong to China through Voxility’s network", but I only get 250ms(stable +- 1ms) for the route. Quite useless to their claims. :meh:

I recommend you absolutely avoid delimiter if you ever want to have near perfect uptime, fast setup, and friendly support.

I purchased a delimiter server a bit ago (about a month ago), paid for it, less than 1 hour later it was all set ready for me to install the OS. I installed the OS, ran some tests, server is very fast, network is good. It's a nice Windows box for development.

Okey, so i have been using 3 of their VPSs are their performance has been quite ok. I can say I have mixed thoughts, its okey for Testing but Definitely not recommended for production. I have used DC 5 ( Germany ) and DC 6 ( UK ).

Pros :

  • Ultra Cheap , You get 1 GB RAM VPS @ $1 ( almost ) , Thats their best part

  • Good Reliability

  • Good List of OSs

  • Flexibility to choose locations

  • Acceptable Support

Cons :

  • YOU CANNOT RESET ADMIN ROOT PASSWORD , They do have a procedure but the 3 second window to work with grub seems almost impossible in the sluggish VNC interface they have.
  • Slow Controls

  • Support is NOT good for new users , you must have some know how and know what you are doing.

  • Most operations take time and control panel sucks

  • Payment and Reciepts have issues, My next month bill was paid : NO notification generated.

ImbaHost is Absolutely Exceptional

$

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place, but I wanted to quickly write a review for a wonderful hosting company that deserves to be recognized, ImbaHost. I have been hosted by ImbaHost for a VPS server since November 2015, and in the time that I have been with them, they have been absolutely exceptional. Prior to joining ImbaHost, I was trying to find a place in Dallas, TX. I asked Marcus, a friend of mine, who I also used for hosting services, to recommend someone to me.

He recommended that I try Imbahost, as the owner is super nice, and has SSD storage. Before I talked to Marcus, I tried to find other VPS providers, but they were always missing a feature that I needed, and I could never find a reliable hosting provider at the price that I wanted. Yes, I know there are a few other VPS providers that are less expensive, but they sounded too good to be true, and I would be risking the service value of my company.

One of the best qualities that I love about ImbaHost is that their technical support is true hearted. When I first started to use them, I had a major issue where I was running out of disk space, and needed to upgrade my container as soon as I could. But because I was using a “Kernel-Based Virtual Machine” container, upgrading the disk was very difficult, to the point where it corrupted the container and I had to move all of my data over to a new VPS Server. Most providers would not create another container, help me to transfer all of my data to the new container, and spend half of the night making sure that everything configured correctly, without charging me an arm and a leg. In fact ImbaHost charged me zero dollars and cents to help me to do exactly that, where they could have charged me a few hundred dollars for the extra managed support.

I now have a wonderful VPS that has the disk space that I need, and because they did such a great job, I am paying a little extra for their recurring managed support.

Also, during these past months, I have ordered a few other unmanaged servers from them and they have still helped me configure settings, which has really helped me out, even though they are not obligated to do so.

I felt compelled to write this review because I am so happy with them. If you want reliability, with great customer service that truly cares about you, and that makes you feel like they are a part of your team, try out ImbaHost.

Just so you know that this is a genuine review, my name is Vladimir, and I run an IT Consulting and Web Services business called Rilex Technologies, LLC.
